Care & Share (which used to be called Soup & Socks, where we offer a meal to those less fortunate than ourselves) has been operating again for the last couple of months and our Care & Share Christmas meal will be held this Saturday 11th December at 12.30pm. Any volunteers will be warmly welcomed.

We are still collecting items for the Elim food bank as our Reverse Advent Calendar continues, and any items you can give will be extremely welcome – to use the tag of a well known supermarket, every little helps. The need is greater than ever this year as the furlough scheme ended, many retail jobs have been lost and bills are higher than ever – especially fuel bills.

Basis is a drop in centre for people facing homelessness or housing crisis they can access food, showers, laundry facilities and information, advice and guidance. They are now helping people move into their own homes and so any items that can help people set up a home are extremely well received – cups, plates, cutlery, towels and linen. They are also still collecting shower gels, deodorants and laundry supplies. Just ask Moira or Les if you’d like more information.

The Music Makers Ladies Choir invite you to a Christmas Celebration on Saturday 18th December at 3pm at St Nicholas’ Church (in the Church) – Tickets are £5 available on the door or from Cathie Sharpe on 0191 5277362
